Ham Radio Pro Club Bylaws
Article I: Name and Purpose
- Name: The name of this club shall be Ham Radio Pro.
- Purpose:
- To promote the exchange of information and cooperation among members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism, and individual operating efficiency.
- To conduct club programs and activities to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community.
Article II: Membership
- Eligibility: Membership is open to anyone interested in Amateur Radio who agrees to abide by the club bylaws.
- Types of Membership:
- Full Membership: Open to licensed Amateur Radio operators. Full members have voting rights and can hold office.
- Associate Membership: Open to those interested in Amateur Radio but who do not currently hold a license. Associate members cannot vote or hold office.
Article III: Meetings
- Regular Meetings: The club shall hold regular monthly meetings on the second Saturday of each month at 7 PM EST, online via a designated platform.
- Annual Meeting: The annual meeting for elections shall be held during the November regular meeting.
- Special Meetings: Special meetings may be called by the President or by a quorum of the membership.
Article IV: Officers
- Officers: The officers of this club shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
- Elections: Officers shall be elected by ballot at the annual meeting. Officers serve for one year or until their successors are elected.
- Duties:
- President: Presides at meetings, represents the club, and performs other duties as ordinarily pertain to the office.
- Vice President: Assumes the duties of the President in their absence and organizes club programs.
- Secretary: Keeps records of the club, handles correspondence, and maintains minutes of all meetings.
- Treasurer: Receives and receipts all monies paid to the club, keeps accurate financial records, and reports at each meeting.
Article V: Committees
- Standing Committees: The President may establish standing committees as necessary.
- Special Committees: Special committees may be appointed by the President to undertake specific activities.
Article VI: Amendments
- Procedure: These bylaws may be amended at any regular or special meeting by a two-thirds vote of the members present. Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing at least one month in advance of the meeting.
Article VII: Club Assets
- Management: The Treasurer will manage the club’s assets. All expenditures must be approved by the membership.
- Dissolution: Upon dissolution of the club, any assets remaining after payment of debts shall be donated to a nonprofit organization involved in Amateur Radio, chosen by the membership.
Article VIII: Conduct
- Standards of Conduct: Members are expected to conduct their radio and club activities in accordance with FCC regulations and the Amateur Radio Code of Conduct.
- Disciplinary Actions: Any member may be expelled for cause by a two-thirds vote of the members present at a regular or special meeting, provided the member has been given at least two weeks’ notice of such action and an opportunity to be heard.
